How good are the Giants

Some interesting ways to look at how good the Giants really are:

Giants are the second team in NFL history to win five consecutive games against teams that had a winning record at the time that they played them.

Giants have only played 11 games so far this year, but if you look at their last 16 games, which is a full season's worth, you realize that:
(1) over their last 16 games, including the last regular season game of 2007 and the 4 playoff games at the end of 2007, Giants are 14-2
(2) 9 of those 16 games were against teams that made the playoffs in 2007 (Cowboys-2, Redskins, Buccaneers, Packers, Patriots-2, Steelers, Seahawks)
(3) 9 of the 16 teams had winning records at the time that the Giants played them
(4) the difference between points scored and points allowed is 121, by far the highest in the league this year

Wolfman,
I'm having a hard time living with the fact that we are the class of the league (which we clearly are). Can this have anything to do with being a Mets fan? Or that I was raised by a long suggering Brooklyn Dodgers fan. I'm not trying to take the focus away from the Gmen, but I wonder if Yankees/Giants fan fear and dread being rated top dog like I suspect most Mets/Giants fans do.
Hixon is the shiznit.

Being a Yankee/Giants fan myself, I simply can't relate to your position. I understand why you have these feelings: neuroses, paranoia and schizophrenia are common among Mets fans. A recent joint study by the American Psychological Institute and Mass General Hospital revealed that Mets fans are 23.6% more likely to have psychological disturbances than fans of normal teams.

My recommendation: increase the Prozac dosage and enjoy the ride.
